While there have been various stages of the journey, Radville BMX was officially established in 2022. Radville BMX was started simply to promote getting more kids riding bikes. That led to the vision to help usher back the classic shows like the BMX Freestyle shows held each summer in Rockville MD for the touring sides from GT, Haro & Hutch, to name a few, that stopped at the local bike shop on their World Tours. In the modern era, with BMX Freestyle becoming an Olympic sport, it was also determined to help foster the upcoming and local talent so that the sport would continue to thrive with a deep talent pool for riders to reach whatever goals they set for themselves. By thinking globally while acting locally, Radville BMX was very fortunate to become the Tour Manager for the Back for More in
'24 World Tour.
Radville BMX sought to bring back not only the spirit of the legendary Rockville BMX, but to also be a trusted source for BMX Freestyle by promoting the sport and putting riders first. With so much focus on social media, Radville BMX wanted to bring people together to share the Old School spirit while enjoying the modern era of BMX Freestyle.
It's been an honor to be part of the BMX community and look forward to continuing to see the sport grow the tradition of the BMX Family through sharing the passion for staying active and healthy via riding. Along with the various aspects the sport has to offer everyone, it's the belief that sports bring people together and create a sense of camaraderie through teamwork that foster the growth & creativity of individuals who ride.

As you may have recognized from the logo, Radville BMX is a homage to the infamous brand that once stood in Rockville, Maryland. It was the home to many of the legendary riders and World Tours that were customary each summer thru the 80's. They hosted a local track and sponsored many riders in the area. It was an integral part of the East Coast BMX culture, spilling over to the Southern California scene with many riders emerging from the area to contribute their talents to the greater sport. The local bike shop scene has changed quite a bit from those days and those summer tours still remain epic with internet footage from those days as evident of the times when the sport was just starting and riders were inventing new tricks everyday that filled the pages of magazines like Freestylin' & BMX Action and BMX Plus. If you were lucky enough to catch a show live in those days, you won't want to miss seeing the team do it again 40 years later to celebrate the milestone for the Spirit of BMX Freestyle. And if you missed it, now's your chance to see it now.
As a Maryland homer, Vinny founded Radville BMX to pay homage to the local roots, give respect to the Old School and embrace the new school era with a local bike shop that continues to support & showcase riders. Radville BMX was established to focus on 3 important components to the BMX community: Events, Experience & Bikes. The Spirit of BMX Freestyle covers all 3 and more, as Vinny became the Tour Manager for the Back for More in '24 Tour, he wanted to create a documentary that would bring the shows to more people beyond the 7 shows that the team did in Europe, the United Kingdom and the USA in the Summer of 2024.
Ron, Brian and Dave always looked forward to the tour stop in Maryland and did their first shows as together there in the summer of 1985. Spike worked tat Rockville BMX and eventually he went along for the ride with the team as the Team's 1st Tour Manager! The rest is history...and now the Spirit of BMX Freestyle comes alive in 2025. The Documentary is directed by Filmmaker Mark Eaton, who grew up just north of Rockville, in iconic York PA. After bringing the BMX World the masterpiece Joe Kid on a Stingray and many other legendary flicks, Mark admittingly loved to watch along with his friends, the Plywood Hoods, the Original Haro Team whenever they came to Rockville. As he says in the opening scenes, the Haro Team went higher than anyone.
The Spirit of BMX Freestyle features all the Trix in 2026! Brought to you on streaming, we hope you enjoy watching as much as we enjoyed doing it. The Back for More in '24 Tour is now live for your viewing pleasure...
