Ron Wilkerson, aka Ron W, is a legendary rider and pioneer both of the sport as a rider, event host and bike manufacturer. He helped to design bike frames and has a massive influence on the sport today, including the advent of the full face helmet that is commonly used today. Suffering an accident at the age of 20, Ron spent two weeks in a coma. He regained his ability to ride again and is such an inspiration in the sport, still riding and getting big air still. He’s a King of Vert champion and helped to introduce new competitions into the sport such as Meet the Street and the King of Vert series. Ron is a USA BMX Hall of Fame Member and father of 3. When he’s not riding BMX, he’s usually doing something extreme, including riding Motorcycles. Ron’s most iconic moment probably came when he was captured by legendary Publisher and Photographer, Bob Osbourne and landed on the first ever cover of the newly launched “Freestyling” Magazine by Wizard Publications in 1984. Ron lives in Santa Cruz, California.
Brian Blyther started riding professionally at the age of 14. Growing up in Ontario California, just east of Los Angeles, Brian was the product of one of the most infamous riding terrains in the country due to the diverse terrain and rural nature that the “wine country” of those days presented. He rode for Huffy, before signing to the infamous Haro Team. Brian eventually rode for GT and has travelled all over the world doing shows, including a Swatch Watch Tour in 1988 that got to utilize the Guns n Roses Tour Bus while the band was playing overseas. Brian is now back with Haro and has been a Montclair Police Detective for the past 20 years. When he’s not catching bad guys, he’s either riding his Harley Davidson, or 4x4 Toyota in the desert of California. Brian is the father of 2, USA BMX Hall of Fame member and just an awesome dude that loves the sport. Brian lives in Montclair, California.
Dave Nourie, boasting forty years of riding, creating, performing, and competing experience, has spearheaded numerous groundbreaking Flatland tricks, making his contributions to the sport difficult to quantify. One of his most iconic inventions is the Nourie Stand, now emulated by riders worldwide. Another remarkable feat is the Gumbee, a maneuver where he contorts his body beneath the bike. Recently, Dave has expanded his repertoire by inviting fellow riders to join him on his bike, setting a record with Dave and eight others at Southsea Park in the UK. Beyond his active involvement in the modern Flatland scene, Dave stated competing in the original American Flatland Association and still competes to this day. Sharing his enthusiasm, longevity and passion for Flatland. Furthermore, he devotes his time to hosting camps catering to all age groups in his hometown of Ashland, Oregon. Despite raising two grown children, Dave remains deeply dedicated to fostering the Flatland freestyle community, regularly sharing instructional videos and other resources to empower riders along their journey from curiosity to confidence.
