Washington, DC has a couple of skateparks, specifically Shaw and RFK,. There are also more parks in the surrounding areas of the suburbs, including a brand new facility at Wakefield in Fairfax, VA and a nice park in Arlington at Powhatan Springs Park. Maryland has several including Nicolet in Lexington Park, White Plains and Landsowne in Baltimore, to mention a few. Charm City Skatepark is an indoor facility in Canton. Between the Monuments and street riding, riding the streets in DC is always a good time. We understand if you want to keep it all to yourself too and we won't say anything if that's the case. There's plenty for evereyone!
Radville BMX was formed as an homage to a legendary
business in the 1980’s in Rockville, MD, known as Rockville BMX.
They hosted a BMX Racetrack, had a store with a phenomenal mail order business and hosted the Factory World Tours as the premier venue on the EAST COAST . They were a locally family owned business located on Rockville Pike, it was staffed by local students at the time; one of whom infamously Spike Jonze*, Executive Producer of the Jackass franchise, The word RAD, title of a 1986 film about BMX, has gone onto Cult Status among Gen Xers; the word itself slang for very appealing, good or AwEsOmE! Both iconic brands did so much for a generation and we want to share their spirit with the new generation to share the great sport of BMX and promote riders first.
